Her wide-ranging responsibilities include those for the Development Bank of Wales, the renewable and nuclear sectors, as well as at arm’s length oversight of Cardiff Airport.

She has previously held a number ministerial roles, including most recently Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Constitution and Cabinet Office. She was first elected to the Senedd in May 2010, representing the Mid and West Wales region. She became the MS for Gower, succeeding  minister Edwina Hart, in 2016.

Rebecca received a degree in history from the University of Leeds, and a master of philosophy degree in historical studies from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge. Before entering politics she worked in the third sector.
